Fish come and are drawn left or right depending on the prevailing currents or brain sensors
on their way to spawn,
Or they may get caught
by fishermen standing on this very spot listing to me what fish they've seen:
sturgeon, pike, alewives, other.
And salmon? I say.
No, they say - each, I have not seen a salmon in my lifetime.
